Targa Florio: A mix of rally and circuit

Imagine: You're training for a race that consists of 5 laps around a track that is made up of over 70 kilometers of winding Sicilian mountain roads near Palermo, you're in an open top sportscar that would today be classified as a Prototype and as the roads are only closed on race day, you're never certain what will be waiting for you around the next hyperfast bend. You just commit to it and go. This was the original Targa Florio.
