Chris Harris reviews the Aston-Martin GT12: A racer-inspired supercar made in Britain. Starting with a Vantage V12 S, they significantly widened the car's wheelbase and bodywork. Then they lightened the car and tuned the engine to deliver 600 horsepower to the rear wheels. New suspension and some new rubber finishes the job. I'll have mine in black please.

The Long Beach Grand Prix is on this weekend with a couple of classes racing, the IMSA P2 cars are one of them and they can be quite a handful between the concrete barriers. Ozz Negri's lightweight Ligier JS P2-Honda of the MIchael Shank Racing team is powered by a twin-turbo V6 and in practice it really didn't want to put the power down. The result: snap oversteer while accelerating out of almost every corner and constantly needing to catch the car and keep it from smashing into a concrete wall. Luckily they got a call from an owner of both proposing just this test in the south of France so naturally, before the phone was down they where on a budget flight towards these two beasts with matching chassis numbers, matching colors and matching plates.

A trio of superbikes including a Suzuki GSX-R, a Yamaha R1 and a Suzuki Hayabusa encounter a Bmw M3 driver that is not about to let them outrun his German V8. It all gets out of hand soon and the driver has reportedly been arrested after uploading this footage of their mad dash through Warsaw, ignoring red lights, stop signs and cutting through traffic like knife through butter. Judging by his Facebook his license plate probably didn't help his case either, "S2 YBKI" refers to "szybki" which is the Polish word for "Fast".

Traditionally the Summer Nationals car festival in Canberra is held at the start of each year, as the best known car festival in Australia edition 28 had some potential. Like breaking the "World Burnout Record" with 103 cars smoking their tires side by side! Guinnes Book validated it, and a new world record was set. Awesome footage!
